The Lease Tutor “Cheat Sheet”
We created the “Cheat Sheet” as a little boost to those that want to tackle their own Lease. The “Cheat Sheet” contains helpful tips, information about how leases are structured, and a list of key terms. We took the most common and universal terms and phrases and broke them down into a simplified definitions. This is a great tool for those who want to interpret their own Lease with a little help.
The Lease Tutor Full Abstract
This is the product that inspired the creation of our company. We will request a copy of your current or proposed Lease and start by reading it top to bottom. Then, our staff of professional Property Managers will reword every section of the Lease into clear concise language. This is our core service that will help people understand their lease one line of text at a time.
The Premium Bundle
In our premium bundle, you will get not only the full abstraction, but also a copy of our “Cheat Sheet”. Between these two tools, you’re bound to understand the Lease just as much as the Landlord. The abstract will be able to tell you when, where, why, and how the rules will be applied. The “Cheat Sheet”, will help you to understand the details of the rules themselves.
The Landlord Said:
“If you continue to occupy the Premises after the expiration of this Lease, or any renewal or extension of this Lease, and we consent to your continued occupancy, your occupancy will (unless we otherwise agree in writing) be under a month to month tenancy, at twice the rent payable hereunder just prior to you holding over, which will continue until either of us mails notice to the other (pursuant to Section 2 of this Lease) at least two (2) months before the end of any calendar month, that the party giving such notice elects to terminate the tenancy at the end of the second calendar month. As long as you are in possession of the Premises, all of your obligations and all of our rights applicable during the term of this Lease will be equally applicable during your continued period of occupancy.”
The Lease Tutor says:
“If you stay in the apartment after the Lease expires (without renewing), you will be charged double rent and be considered a month-to-month tenant. To make this stop, either you, or the Landlord has to send a letter to the other. Then, the Lease will expire two months from that letter. If the letter is sent in the middle of that month, that month doesn’t count towards the two required.”
See how confusing and circular the Landlord’s language is? Let us read your lease for you, and give you back each section in simple words like this! Imagine if your entire lease was that easy to read!
